New Ohio Event for May

Please take notice the Beaver Creek event in East Liverpool, Ohio now has a firm date. We tried to negotiate it for the second weekend in May but was unable to get it changed. We will attend with a command staff to support the units from Birney's Division that will be there.

Beaver Creek State Park in Ohio - May 4-6, 2007

This is a first time event being help on Beautiful state park property. The entire park has approx 2700 acres of beautiful hills, trails, and ponds. The battle scenarios will be centered around a period village with a working grist mill built back in early 1800's. The grist mill is also the final resting spot for the trunk of the tree where Confederate General John Hunt Morgan surrendered to Ohio militia.

There will be 2 battles one on Saturday and one (early) on Sunday with a Sunday morning breakfast. There will also be an opportunity for a night time skirmish, so pickets are recommended. The will be plenty of water, wood, and porta johns, with straw available.
Please consider this event when your making out next years schedule. There will be more to follow in the near future.
