2d Battalion Drill weather update
As we approach the Birney's 2d Battalion drill dates (March 17-18), the eye goes to the weather. As I look out the window I can see snow beginning to cover the ground again. Barring another 12 inches doesn't visit us as it did on Valentine's Day, we will proceed with the training.PLEASE BE AWARE that the Tavern at Camp Workman is a very nice structure. With a large fireplace and pot-belly stove, this will give us a warm, dry place to get out of the weather during the day. If needed, there is plenty of room on the floor for troops during the night.
Also, don't forget that Saturday night is St. Patrick's Day! There will be libations for purchase at the tavern, and if you have not done so yet, there will be a meal Saturday night for a fee. You must register for this meal ahead of time. You are welcome to bring your own goodies as well.
