The 5th Ohio Volunteer Infantry is looking for a few good men! Just breathing is ok too. We know than many of you Civil War buffs out there have toyed, from time to time, with the idea that... Hey! That reenacting looks fun! Don't let life pass you by. Now is the time to find out just how enjoyable and educational Civil War living history is.

As a member of the 5th OVI, you'll be a part of a brotherhood that includes Civil War enthusiasts from all walks of life. You will get to participate in all sorts of activities:

Regional and local Civil War history events

Motion picture and television program production

Educational programs for schools

Family activities

Don't be overwelmed! Many people interested in Civil War Reenacting always say to themselves, "How am I going to learn to do all that stuff?", and "Where am I going to find what I need to do this?"... Not to worry. Members of the 5th are always eager to supply information, and teach you how it's done. Everything you need to "do it right".
